The Clarksville Networking Group’s primary goal has been to help business owners and professionals meet, develop relationships, and obtain new business leads. While this is the primary goal of the Group, it isn’t the only area where CNG can help businesses and professionals.
Many of the members in CNG are really good at what they do, be it cleaning your home’s carpeting and flooring, to helping you get a great gift for your spouse, to providing bookkeeping & tax preparation services. Still others can provide great advertising services and products, or even set your company up with credit card processing. But we all need some help at some point in the running of our companies. Therefore, the Group is also focusing on educating the members on administrative areas such as employees and payroll, compliance with local, state, and federal laws, and other managerial aspects.
This isn’t going to be the dry, boring kind of education, but rather taken from the experiences of the various members to help other members overcome their obstacles to greater success. Together, the members of this group have a large amount of experience which can help the other members become more profitable, better organized, and ready to take on more challenges.

The Clarksville Networking Group held it’s first meeting in December today. We had a great meeting with several new visitors and returning members.
On the Agenda was the topic of the CNG Holiday / Christmas Party which will be held December 13th. This is a fun time of year to come together with friends and business partners and CNG is no different. Our annual holiday party will be a lot of fun with great food, and gifts to be shared. Look for an update next week.
CNG members gave their 45 second presentation as well as passed leads. We also had a 10 minute presentation from Elaine Murray, Mary Kay Independent Sales Director.
Elaine has been involved with Mary Kay Cosmetics for over 13 years. She is a sales director and has won numerous awards. Her presentation today covered potential gifts for the holidays. The next Clarksville Networking Group meeting will be held on December 20th at 8:00. The location is still at the Riverview Inn downtown Clarksville.
A good way to start off a new year is to try something new or something different. If you haven’t tried joining a networking group, stop on by and see the Clarksville Networking Group on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays each month. They meet at the Riverview Inn which is located downtown Clarksville Tennessee.
What can a networking group do for your business? Well first off, you have the option to introduce yourself and your business to other business owners in the group. In turn as you build a relationship with those members they will go out into the community and spread the word about your business. They become a business referral source for you.
Gain experience in public speaking. Does it terrify you to get in front of people? Do you forget what to say? With the help of the networking group, they can teach you how to give a 45 second “elevator pitch” as well as give a 10 minute presentation to the group.
